57 students participated On 27th August 2022, Rotary Club of Nigdi, Pune was invited to be a part of the prize distribution ceremony for Eco-friendly Gomay Ganpati painting competition. Our President Rtn. Pranita and Service Director Rtn. Kamaljeet were the honourable judges for the event at City Pride Jr. College IICMR Hall, Nigdi. P.P. Rtn. Dr. Deodhar graced the occasion. Capt. Sanjeev Alurkar, Rtn.Ajit Kothari , Rtn. Nirmal Kaur, Rtn. Arjun Dalal, Ann Pratibha Dalal, Annet Adwait, Rtn. Sunil Joshi, Rtn.Smita Ilawe and Rtn. Shaivya Mehra were also present. It was indeed a pleasure to see the efforts taken by kids of grade I to XII in painting the Ganpati idols made of cow dung. Judgment was done on 3 grounds: colour scheme, authenticity and slogan. The overall presentation showed the enthusiasm of the pupils as well as teachers. Parents of the winners were also invited on stage for award ceremony. This indeed boosted the morale of parents as well as children to participate in such events in future. Rotary club of Nigdi sponsored the trophies and cash prizes. Dr. Abhay Kulkarni, Director IICMR gave a beautiful speech in Marathi. Mr. Amit Gorkhe, Chairman, Novel group of schools mentioned that our Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi may talk about this program in "Mann ki baat". Ann. Pratibha Dalal spoke about plastic pollution. The audience was full of energy throughout the program.
