To create awareness about Polio immunization, volunteers have to visit from house often in areas where vehicles cannot reach. 3 Beneficiaries. Children from high risk areas like slums and transient population. Further job of volunteers from PCMC Hospitals facilitated. 4 Number of Rotarians participated and involved. 4 Rotarians actively participated in this project. 5 Help Provided Free Megaphones were distributed among the volunteers. This is a long term benefit to the PCMC Hospitals in the region for immunization campaigning. 6 Status of the Project The project is complete and the megaphones were successfully used in two NID’s and other health campaigns by PCMC Hospitals. 7 Details in brief: Rotary Club Of Nigdi contributed in polio eradication by providing 12 megaphones to PCMC, very convenient to volunteers for vocal propaganda in crowded bastis & colonies. These megaphones are of great help as it is a handheld instrument for announcement especially in the most vulnerable areas such as slums. 8 Enhancement of Public Image and Publicity in Community.
